Blood Lamp (spray-painted iron)
My latest obsession, are the works of Japanese design house Kyouei Design. Their “about-us” lists three members: Kouichi Okamoto(CEO/Designer), Ayako Nakanishi(Director) and Yuichi Yamaguchi(Photographer).
Here are a few of my favorites:
Wine Tank
Consists of a bulb shaped container with the glass below. When the amount in the glass decreases, a constant amount is poured from the tank into the glass. Never overflowing from the glass because of air and water pressure.
The grooves in this record are perfect circles, causing the record to play an eternal loop of the sounds of rainfall.
